Silvestre Dangond Charlotte Concert reviews
Sir Paul rocks Houston
Silvestre Dangond has been a part of my life for fifty years, I'm sixty-two so. When I heard that Paul was coming to Houston there was no way that I was going to miss what might be my last opportunity to see him, I never had the opportunity to see the Beatles in concert and mourned the passing of John and George. The show started nearly an hour late however the wait was well worth every minute. I have been to approximately ten concerts in the last two years and no one has given their all like Paul. Crosby, Stills and Nash were fantastic, but they only played for about an hour and a half and took a fifteen-minute intermission, Santana also played about the same time. He is the first performer I've seen do two encores, many performers will do one or two songs for their encore. He was energetic and involved with the audience telling anecdotes from his life, his voice was great. Paul was non-stop never leaving the stage except before the two encores, he, or someone working for him, put together a great visual presentation that ran before the show on two massive screens and the light show during the concert. He did a fantastic mixture of Beatles and Wings material along with a few newer numbers like his tribute song to John. I was particularly impressed with his lead guitar work on a Jimmy Hendrix song that he played on a beautiful red Les Paul Gibson guitar. Since I'm also left-handed, I'd love to get my hands on that Les Paul, absolutely beautiful. Paul did three for each encore, Paul did a fantastic mixture of Beatles and Wings material along with a few newer numbers like his tribute song to John.
